The Trade intends to provide knowledge and skills in the Hospitality Industry, with emphasis on Cookery

Trainees may aspire to become Entrepreneurs or work in various Hospitality establishments.

At the end of training the Trainee must be able to:

  • Develop positive attitudes towards the application of practical skills in the performance of tasks
  • Employ judicious use of Tools, Equipment and Materials
  • Understand and apply Kitchen French in the Cookery industry
  • Understand and apply skills in Food Service, Menu Planning and Nutrition
  • Serve Local and Foreign Dishes
  • Acquire and practice basic Entrepreneurial skills
  • Further education to Certificate two
